a Little more background info

Ken competed as a Pro Motocross racer until a badly fractured leg and knee joint forced him to seek other ways to use his athletic abilities. Honed from years of balance and technique on a motorcycle, his athleticism led him to successful cycling endeavors. Ken uses his passion for cycling to help athletes in the sport of Triathlon. He implements his 25+  years of cycling research and experience to assist athletes with proper bike fit and positioning, equipment choices, technique and bike handling skills.

Ken is a Certified F.I.S.T. technologist, meaning he’s received the highest level available for people interested in doing bike fits specifically for Triathlon bike set-up and frame angles. F.I.S.T. stands for Fit Institutue Slow Twitch, created by founder Dan Empfield, a pioneer in the field of Tri Bike technology. His clinics are limited to only 10 people and held 3 times a year, so it’s a select few who achieve this standard.

Ken graduated from the American Motorcycle Mechanics Institute in Daytona, FL where he learned skills that currently serve him as a highly-sought after professional for Bike Fitting services. He has worked with Olympic cyclist and Ironman Champion John Howard in bike fit clinics and spent time with the man responsible for setting up the 7-time Tour De France winner on his Time Trial bike.

Ken has 20+ years experience working with the various aspects of doing a proper bike set-up and assessing power output with various leg extension and seat angle positions. He is the only professional in the State of MO to consistently use a CompuTrainer for proper biomechanical and positional assessment. He utilizes laser technology and video analysis to affirm proper angles for each individual based on comfort and energy expenditure.
